What is Jet Set Beauty Rx?

Jet Set Beauty Rx is an on-call service provided by Dr. Shirley Madhère  where she presents to the client’s/patient’s home to perform ambulatory medical aesthetic procedures.  The service is a convenient way to undergo a beauty house call without the inconvenience of having to go to an office, while providing the privacy of an in-office visit.  The doctor performs these services in a state-of-the-art van that is equipped with efficiency and safety features necessary to perform these services.  The van is fully licensed and registered.

What services are offered?

Offerings include initial consultations, cellulite management, chemical peels, post-procedure follow-up visits, hair growth support, injectables such as Botox and fillers, rapid Covid testing, Vitaglow multi-vitamin facial infusion with micro-needling.  Services are offered to both men and women.

Who is Dr. Shirley Madhere?

Dr. Shirley Madhère (ElementsandGraces.com) is a NYC-based plastic surgeon who practices using a holistic approach.  As the original founder of the Holistic Plastic Surgery philosophy, she incorporates wellness into her protocols for beauty, age management, and plastic surgery.

 

She studied liberal arts at Boston University then received her medical education at both Dartmouth and Brown Universities.  She is doubly trained in general and plastic surgery, and has received additional aesthetic plastic surgery training under the tutelage of some of New York’s world-renowned plastic surgeons.

 

A published author, Dr. Madhère is a prolific contributor to the written word.  She is a public speaker, contributes to press publications and to the scientific literature, and has appeared on various media outlets, including ABC, CBS, NBC, NY1, the Dr. Oz Show, the Meredith Vieira Show, Vogue online, the NY Times, and more.

What are the fees?

Fees vary depending upon the service, and in general, are higher than those of an in-office experience, due to the nature of the ultimate convenience of the house call for the patient.  Credit card information will be captured upon making a reservation for service.  In general, fees range from $250-3750 USD.

 

A $250 USD deposit will also be charged to secure your appointment once your reservation has been reviewed, approved, and confirmed.  The full fee will not be charged until the service is confirmed.

 

If a cancellation is made outside of the cancellation window, a cancellation fee of $500 USD will be charged to your credit card on file.

Is there a COVID protocol? Is COVID testing offered?

Yes.  A health declarations form must be completed.  Proof of vaccination must be provided in advance. Upon request, Covid testing is offered 24-72 hours in advance of a visit (separate fee applies).  Dr. Madhère  maintains her face mask at all times as well as necessary PPE appropriate to the procedure being performed.

How do I book an appointment?

A reservation is a request to be seen through Jet Set Beauty Rx.  A reservation may be booked by visiting the website: jetsetbeautyrx.com, click “Reserve” then choose Jet Set Beauty Rx.

 

A reservation may also be requested by leaving your contact information and desired date and time of service with a telephone receptionist.

 

Specific requests outside of the offered dates and times (such as a Saturday, for example) may be requested by leaving a message with a Posh receptionist who will relay the request to the doctor.

 

Either way, the reservation request is not finalized until:

 

1) the details of the appointment request are reviewed by Dr. Madhère-- to assess feasibility of date and time;

2) new patients undergo an initial consultation either in person or virtually (visit JetSetBeautyRx.com, click “Reserve” then choose “Dr. Shirley Madhère- Virtual;”

3) all information is completed when booking online;

4) all paperwork has been completed and submitted in advance; and

5) you receive an email confirmation of your booking.

Once I reserve the appointment, what is the process?

Once you make a reservation, your service through Jet Set Beauty Rx will not be finalized and confirmed until:

 

1)  the details of the appointment request are reviewed by Dr. Madhère- to assess feasibility of date and time;

2)  new patients undergo an initial consultation either in person or virtually (visit JetSetBeautyRx.com, click “Reserve” then choose “Dr. Shirley Madhère- Virtual;”

3)  all information is completed when booking online;

4)  all paperwork has been completed and submitted in advance; and

5)  you receive an email confirmation of your booking.

 

The email confirmation will contain the details of your appointment, as well as the link to complete additional forms.

 

On the day of service, Dr. Madhère  will send an email or text update on the ETA and also upon arrival to your specified location.

 

When you enter the van, your temperature will be taken.  You will be seated in the exam chair and the service will begin in privacy.  Only one patient is permitted into the van at a time.  Dr. Madhère  does not perform group services, where more than one patient is allowed to enter the van, at any time for any reason.

 

Upon completion of the service, you will be given post-procedure care instructions, if applicable. Your credit card will be processed in full for the service(s) provided, and the visit will be complete.

Where do I meet the van?

Typically, the van will be located on your property if you are at home, in your driveway or on the street in front of your home.  If parking is not available within the immediate vicinity of your home or location, upon arrival, Dr. Madhère  will send you an email or a sms message with the exact location of the van.

Is an initial consultation required for new clients/patients?

Yes.  For all new patients, an initial evaluation is necessary in order to help to determine the best options for the patient.

 

An initial consultation may be performed ideally in advance, either in-office or virtually.  All appointments may be booked online by visiting JetSetBeautyRx.com and click “Reserve” at the top menu.

 

Initial consultations may also be performed through Jet Set Beauty Rx.  However, Dr. Madhère  may or may not perform a procedure within the same session, as appropriate to each individual case.

 

Please note that there is a separate fee for the initial consultation which will not be waived even if the consultation is performed on the same day as the service.

Are there forms to complete in advance?

When booking an appointment or requesting an appointment reservation online, there are basic fields of information to complete through the online patient registration.  There are also additional forms to complete once your reservation is confirmed.  These additional forms may be completed after the corresponding links are emailed to you upon receipt and review of your appointment request.

 

These additional forms are not able to be filled out online.  They must be printed then filled out by hand.  Once completed, these forms must be emailed to seeme@jetsetbeautyrx.com or faxed to 212.994.8083.

What forms of payment are accepted?

At this time, only credit cards as Mastercard, Visa, and American Express are accepted as payment.

What are the hours of operation?

Reservations may be requested anytime.  However, as Dr. Madhère  maintains an active office practice and surgical schedule, most appointments for Jet Set Beauty Rx are fulfilled on Thursdays and Fridays.  Special requests may be made for service on a Saturday.

Is the van disinfected?

The van is sterilized using infrared and UV lamps before the van is used as well as at the end of the business day.  In addition, all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected after each patient use.

Is there a cancellation fee or policy?

Credit card information will be taken at the time of booking an appointment.

 

A $250 deposit will be required at the time of scheduling your appointment and will be charged either 24 hours prior to or on the date of your service. In the event of cancellation of your appointment, your deposit will only be refunded as per the cancellation and financial policies.

 

Please note that your deposit may not be refunded at all, if your cancellation falls outside of the parameters defined in the cancellation and financial policies. The cancellation fee in such case is $500 USD. 

 

If you have not been charged a deposit upon scheduling, the total fee will be charged upon your visit, and will be in addition to fees incurred for procedures performed.

 

Your appointments and well-being are very important to us. We understand that, sometimes, unexpected delays may occur, resulting in schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice.

 

As a courtesy to our patients, please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  The policy is such that any cancellation or reschedule made less than 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee. The amount of the fee will be $500 USD. 

 

Moreover, if you are more than 20 minutes late for your service, your appointment may or may not be accommodated.  In this case, the same cancellation fee will apply. We will do our very best to reschedule your service for another time that is convenient to you. 

 

A credit card is required to hold your appointment.  Any deposits made will be refunded in the event of cancellation, only if that cancellation is made in a timely manner, at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.  Cancellation fees will be charged to your card on file.  In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future services or refunded altogether, at the discretion of Dr. Madhère.
